ABOUT ME?

Thinking about how to please you....

Dear Buddy,
I write to tell you who I think I am at face value.
I was born on October 1, 1979 to John Unaegbu and Cecilia Unaegbu. I grew up without witnessing any quarel between my parents. I was fed well, that is as well as their purse could permit. Now, the day I tumbled into the world was Nigeria's 19th Independence anniversary and a day it was returned to democratic leadership with a brand new president. Hmm, I am still thinking whatta make of that. Whatdya think? I am from Amankwo Inyi in Oji River LGA of Enugu State in Nigeria. I love writing books and making documentaries and films. My first movie was 'Saved by Sin, 2&3' directed by Fidelis Okoro. I directed and acted in Udaram, which is an adaptation from Professor Emeka Otagburuagu's book, Udaram and Other Stories. I am presently a Cinematographer at the Institute of African Studies, University of Nigeria, Nsukka. I believe I have copies of my eight books out there.
My first book, Ode on Lagos, was reviewed by Nigeria's Newswatch Magazine of April 2, 2007, page 57, and they said it is "the longest poem ever written by a Nigerian". My second book, History of the SUG, UNN (1960-2004) won 3rd position in the Nigerian Universities Research and Development Fair of 2008. The third book coathored with Dr. G.E. Akpojotor, "Alexander O.E. Animalu: A Biography of the Distinguished Professor of Physics", was reviewed by Bartholomew Nnaji, Former Minister of Science and Technology of Nigeria in August 2008. The fourth book, "Origins of the NYSC" is a bestseller listed already in ASC, Leiden University. There are other published books done with four professors as well as fifteen films. Yours Sincerely,
Jeff Unaegbu
